The Cardinals swept singles to extend the team record to 12-2.
In the top spot, Derek Corn improved his season record to 12-2 by beating Jordan Truax 6-2, 6-0 while Willy Scott took out Bryan Redenbarger 6-3, 6-1.
Joel Oliphant was the stingiest of the trio giving up only one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win over Raymond Amos at No. 3 singles.
Both doubles teams extended their competition to three sets but neither could come away with a victory.
At No. 1, Holden Hamm and Austin Schulte were downed by Randy Leintz and Jacob Crouch 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. The No. 2 duo of Jacob Chestnut and Mitch Hobson lost a close 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 match to Mike McHaley and Quinn Wilson.
The doubles teams are improving but need to be able to put matches away. This week both doubles teams have been involved in three-set matches five times and they have lost all of them.
The Cardinals finally get a day off. They have had four matches this week, three of them on the road.
The whole team has looked sluggish the past couple of matches. Friday will be a day to regroup and take a deep breath but there won't be time to rest a lot because Bloomfield goes to the Loogootee Invitational Tournament on Saturday. Host Loogootee will take on Tecumseh at 9 a.m. and Bloomfield plays Wood Memorial at 10:30 a.m. The championship match will be held at 12:30 p.m. followed by the consolation match at 2 p.m.
