Wayne L. Padgett

Wayne L. Padgett, 61, of Bloomington passed away Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at Bloomington Hospital.

He was born in Greene County to Leland Junior Padgett and Mary Jean (Craig).

He was married to Susie (Pursell) Padgett.

He was retired as a Master Sergeant Air National Guard in Terre Haute. He was a Vietnam veteran and was a member of Stinesville Nazarene Church and American Legion of Bloomington.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Padgett, of Stinesville; daughter Missy and son-in-law Rich Stacey, of Bloomington; two brothers, Dwight Padgett (Debbie), of Owensburg and Jeff Padgett (Joann), of Owensburg; sister Diane Padgett, (Mary Lou Schmidt) of Bloomington; mother-in-law Viola Pursell, of Ellettsville; brother-in-law Larry Pursell (Susie), of Stinesville; five nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Jim Pursell.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Chandler Funeral Home in Bloomington with Bro. Steve Baker and Bro. David Beachman officiating.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be graveside rites by the Veterans Honor Guard at Chambersville Cemetery.
