WRV spikers win

The White River Valley volleyball team earned their second straight win Thursday night with a 25-13, 20-25, 25-22, 25-12 win over visiting West Vigo. The win improves the Lady Wolverines record to 3-9 on the season.

Tayler Kail led the team with 23 points including four aces, 24 digs and nine kills. Haylee Holtsclaw added 22 points including two aces to go along with 35 assists and six digs.

Sisters Rachel and Amanda Mowery teamed up for a total of 17 points and 20 digs, while Ashley Graves added eight kills and four digs.

Jasmine May (5), Brooke Braswell (4) and Miranda Dupire (3) all recorded points from the service line.

The Wolverine junior varsity team also picked up a win over the visitors, with a 25-14, 25-10 win.

Lydia Miller recorded five points, two kills and 20 assists, while Alexis Rose added three kills.

Jaycie Goukenour and Megan Padgett each recorded seven points, while Amanda Harp added six points. Padgett also registered three kills.

The Lady Wolverines will participate today in the Loogootee Round Robin.
