Eleanor S. Russell

Eleanor S. Russell, 86, of Linton and Lyons, passed away on at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Lyons Health & Living Center in Lyons.

She was born July 23, 1922, in Freedom, the daughter of Claude & Emma (Carter) Johnson.

She had been a beautician in Lyons & Florida & was a member of the Church of Christ in Florida.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Russell of Lyons, Dennis Russell of Destin, Florida and Kenneth Russell of Linton; one sister, Mary Elliot of Dayton, Ohio, seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rollie D. Russell, five sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Larry Corns officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton

Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
