Harold Lee Poole, 79, Bedford, passed away at 2:17 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008 at White River Lodge in Bedford.

Born Feb. 15, 1929 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Elmer Dell and Fannie Mae (Pemberton) Poole.

He was a self-employed carpenter millwright and a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 654.

Survivors include: wife of 32 years, Madeline Gail Poole, Bedford; sons, Dan Poole and wife, Chris, of Wadsworth, OH, Ralph "Frog" Poole and wife Dewon, of Orleans; daughters, Vicki Woods and husband, Glenn, of Bedford, Zella Reynolds and companion, Dean, of Mitchell; stepchildren, Karen Hostetter and husband John of Worthington, Derek Helderman and companion, Charlotte, of Linton; grandchildren, Crystal Bradley, Troy Poole, Joshua Poole, Jacob Poole, Amber Hein, Autumn Robbins, Aaron Poole, Adam Poole, Lora Stewart, Deana Moore, Rickey Moore, Michael Malott, Miranda Kline, Jeremy Reynolds, Jamison Reynolds; and 14 great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Troy and Ian Hostetter, Tamara Skinner and Michael Helderman; one step-grandson; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Judith Gayle Moore; stepson, Rodney Helderman; brothers, James Poole, John "Budge" Poole and Leslie Poole; and sisters, Dorothy Poole and Zella Pruett.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell with Pastor Richard Grace officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

Visitation will be conducted from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
