The loss was the second in a row for the Lady Cardinals, who slipped to 4-5.
"We did not play badly at all," said BHS coach Jennifer Heaton. "We missed just two serves (54 of 56, 96 percent), which placed us in the high 90s. Our serving has been pretty consistent.
"We had some long rallies, but the points did not always go our way. We just could not quite get there. They just outplayed us, although the girls did not play badly at all."
Kendra Spelts (15 of 15), Ariel Fuller (5 of 5), Elyse Weddle (4 of 4), Shelby Gott (14 of 14) and Kelsie Spelts (5 of 5) all were perfect serving. Holly Zschiedrich was 11 of 13 with two aces and 12 points.
Sophomore setter Kendra Spelts finished with 17 assists, 13 points, one ace, one kill and 10 digs. Fuller had four digs and five points.
Kaitilyn O'Neall had one assist, two blocks and four digs while Weddle finished with nine digs, seven kills, four blocks and five points.
Sarah Scott had four kills and two digs and Gott had 13 points and 13 digs.
Leairra Thompson collected seven kills, five blocks, two digs and one assist. Letitia Poe had three kills, one block and one dig. Kelsie Spelts tallied six points and eight digs.
Bloomfield fell in the junior varsity match by a score of 25-21, 18-25, 6-15, dropping to 2-5.
Hallie Retseck had 13 digs and eight points and Jordan Gillenwater added two kills and one assist. Bailee Byers collected 14 points, six digs and two kills.
Rachel Helms finished with eight points, three digs, three assists and a kill. Cariena Rosalez was credited with two kills, one block three digs and six points.
Taylor Gilmore had four kills, four digs and seven points. Alley Gilliland had a stat line of seven points, one ace, five digs, one block, one kill and six assists.
The Lady Cardinals will host Loogootee at 6 p.m. Friday.
