The Eastern Greene High School girls cross country team placed 12th out of 18 teams that competed at the Rushville Invitational Saturday.

Sophomore Sydney Spice paced the Lady Thunderbirds with a 16th-place finish. Her time was 22 minutes and two seconds.

Also for EGHS, Shelby Mitchell was 49th (24:05), Audrey Crane 76th (26:03), Rebecca Schwartz 96th (28:17) and Joanna Holsapple was 119th with a time of 31:06.

The Lady T-Birds will run at the Martinsville Invitational Saturday.
