"We didn't play too bad tonight," first-year Lady Cards varsity coach Jennifer Heaton said. "Barr-Reeve has some good hitters and they exploited our holes well tonight."
Kendra Spelts had 12 points, 14 assists five digs, one ace and two kills on the night. Elyse Weddle finished with seven digs, five blocks, five points one ace and two kills.
Junior Shelby Gott added 14 digs, three aces and seven points, while Aerial Fuller contributed with eight digs and six points.
"I thought the girls worked really hard tonight and they did a nice job once again at the service line," Heaton added.
The Cardinals junior varsity team also fell to the Vikings in straight sets, 25-14, 23-25 and 15-13.
The Lady Miners will return to the court on Tuesday when they play host to Bedford North Lawrence.
