'It's disgusting and it's not true': George A. Foote, Jr. stated during his taped interview

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

A rural Linton man on trial for child molesting and incest denied any involvement in the allegations made by his two biological daughters in a taped interview presented as evidence Wednesday morning in Greene Circuit Court at Bloomfield.

On the audio tape recorded March 13, 2007, George A. Foote, Jr. denied he had inappropriately touched or had sexual relations with his two teen daughters as they have alleged.

"I'd like to see that proven, because it's not true," was the answer Foote gave to Julie Martin, an investigator with the Greene County Prosecutor's office.

She conducted the interview after Foote's two daughters told Bloomfield Junior-Senior High School and Department of Child Services (DCS) officials that the molestation spanned back about four years.

When Martin went on to explain in detail what his daughters were accusing him of doing to each of them, Foote told her, "It's disgusting and it's not true ... it's pretty nasty and it's disgusting."

Martin also interviewed both of the alleged victims -- now 17 and 16 -- on the same day that she talked with their father.

The investigator said the older girl was "very nervous, jumpy and skittish as she described the allegations. The younger victim was "more shy, embarrassed, reserved and laid back" as she talked to officials.

When the interview started, Foote thought he was being questioned by DCS and the investigator because of recent discipline tactics he had carried out against his son, whom he said was having a lot of problems at school.

Foote said he had talked with him and told Martin, "The only thing I had left was to put the fear of God into the boy."

He was surprised when the investigator told him that he was being accused of molesting both of his daughters.

Foote said flatly, "It's not true ... I would never do that. ... There is no way in hell."

He revealed to Martin that he knew about incest because he had witnessed it with another close family member when he was growing up.

"I mean it's disgusting and sick," Foote added.

You will have a good time in prison doing what you like to do, but you will find out how it feels to be molested over and over, all I have to say is sweet dreams sicko, if you ever get to sleep. And yes they all say they are innocent, your such a low life that the world will be a better place without you walking the street. This is my opinion of Mr. Sicko!! And yes he said it first it is sick and disgusting!!

Our prisons and jails are populated almost entirely by folks who claim to be innocent. Maybe add one more to that group.
