Ella Chesterfield, 69, of Coalmont, passed away at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday August 12, 2008 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

She was born in Sullivan County on May 11, 1939, the daughter of Decker O. House and Florence Griffith House.

She was a member of the Hymera Order of Eastern Star #289.

Survivors include: her husband of 51 years, Wayne Chesterfield Sr. of Coalmont; one son, Wayne Chesterfield Jr. of Lewis; one daughter, Teressa Bickel of Lewis; one brother, Robert House of Hymera; three sisters, Donna Weir of Shelburn, Sarah Romine House of Terre Haute, and Elsie House of Shelburn; several grand, and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ella was preceded in death by one son, Merril Don Chesterfield; four brothers, Don, James, Vern, and Lawrence House; and one grandson, Jordan Chesterfield.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Shawn Farris officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday. Burial in the K of P Cemetery at Hymera
