Audrey Gwen Norris

Audrey Gwen Norris, 87, of Bloomfield passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born Dec. 21, 1920 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Winfield and Almira (Hash) Blaker.

She worked at Sarkes Tarzian in Bloomington and was a homemaker.

Surviving relatives include: three sons, Dean Norris, James Norris, and Paul Norris, all of Bloomfield; two daughters, Linda Sherrard of Austin, Texas and Lois Frye of Bloomfield; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Bertha Helms, of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orval C. Norris on Nov. 27, 1997; three sons, Alan Blaker, David Norris, and Roy Norris; three sisters; and four brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday with Rev. Arlen Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Tulip Cemetery in rural Bloomfield.

The family wishes all donations be made to Alzheimers Association.
