Tuesday, July 15, 2008

A 51-year-old Evansville man was pronounced dead at Greene County General Hospital Monday night after his vehicle ran off a Greene County highway.

A medical condition is believed to have caused him to run off the road.

Mark Hobbs was traveling south on U.S. 231 approximately three miles south of Bloomfield around 9:44 p.m. when his 2008 Chevrolet van ran off the west side of the roadway. The Hobbs vehicle was not damaged.

Deputies from the Greene County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene along with personnel from the Greene County Coroner's Office, Bloomfield Police Department, Richland-Taylor Volunteer Fire Department and Bays Wrecker Service.
