In Greene Circuit Court, the preliminary charges against both George E. Anderson, Jr., 37, and Cindy B. Anderson, 41, both of Jasonville, are identical: Two counts each of dealing in methamphetamine, a class B felony, and one count each of maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony.
In Greene Superior Court, the preliminary charges against both Paul L. Johns and Loriann Johns are identical: dealing in methamphetamine, a class B felony; conspiracy to deal in methamphetamine, a class B felony; and maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony.
The probable cause affidavits filed in all four cases, written by Investigator Julie Martin of the Greene County Prosecutor's Office, detail incidents in which methamphetamine was sold to a confidential informant.
In the case of the Andersons, the incidents took place April 16 at their residence located at 522 N. Harrison Street in Jasonville. Twice on the same day, the Andersons allegedly accepted money in exchange for methamphetamine.
In the case of the Johns, the incidents took place on April 13 at their residence located at 126 N. Lawton St., Lot 2, in Jasonville. Twice on the same day, the Johns allegedly accepted money in exchange for methamphetamine.
According to the affidavit filed in the case of Loriann Johns, at one point a law enforcement officer observed Johns leave her residence in a sweatshirt and pajama pants and ride off on a bicycle. They later learned she was on her way to purchase the methamphetamine that was sold to the informant.
Warrants for the arrest of all four individuals were requested and issued on Wednesday.
Officers visited the Anderson residence early Thursday to serve the warrants and both Andersons were booked into the Greene County Jail on Thursday morning and both are being held without bond.
Jasonville Police Officer Ryan VanHorn was the arresting officer.
As of Thursday afternoon, warrants were expected to be served on both of the Johns.
Additional arrests are also expected to be forthcoming.
The Prosecutor's Office was assisted in these investigations by several agencies including the Indiana State Police, Greene County Sheriff's Department, Linton Police Department and the Jasonville Police Department -- all members of the Greene County Drug Task Force.
There are a few more meth-heads that need to be dealt with as well in Jasonville...One broke into my residence, and basically, nothing was done about it. I just hope what goes around comes around in this case.
Great job on the meth bust! Love to see them rot in jail.
