Edna Ruth Martin

Edna Ruth Martin, 86, of Linton, passed away at 3:20 p.m. on June 19, 2008 at Linton Nursing and Rehab.

She was born in Columbus, May 14, 1922 the daughter of Noble Lazzell and Gertrude Bishop Lazzell.

Edna was a former clerk at the Ace Hardware in Linton.

Survivors include: her husband, Jesse Ray Martin of Lyons; three step-daughters, Bonnie Keene of Lyons, Carolynn Rae Mowery of Switz City, and Polly Martin of Plant City, Fl.; 10 step-grandchildren and several step-great and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a step daughter; Sherry Richards; and a sister.

There will be no visitation.

Cremation is scheduled. Newkirk's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
