The 'Flood of 2008' leaves its mark

There is still a lot of water covering acres and acres of farmland and normally high and dry ground in Greene County. The top photo shows the 'grade' -- just west of Bloomfield --looking northwest . In the photo below, the damage done by the flood waters to this railroad track near Worthington is very evident in the aerial photograph taken on Thursday afternoon as the water was falling. The track was pushed off the railroad bed. The photos were taken as part of a special media air tour of flood damage that was arranged by the office of Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels in cooperation with the Indiana Air National Guard.
