Doris L. Mitchell

Doris L. Mitchell, 83, of Greenwood and formerly of Jasonville, passed away at 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Village Oaks Assisted Living in Greenwood.

Born Nov. 7, 1924 in Hymera, she was the daughter of Harvey Goble and Daisy (Followell) Goble

She was a homemaker and a member of Sullivan First Pentecostal Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star Lodge No. 140.

Survivors include: two daughters, Mona Gately of Greenwood and Pauline Trueblood of Radcliff, KY; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph F Mitchell on Sept. 18, 1975; and a daughter, Shirley Ann Mitchell.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Dennis Myers officiating.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Burial will be K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
