Linton Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at the corner of 6th Street and G-Street NW that was electrical in nature and originated in the kitchen area, according to Fire Chief Lonnie Eberhardt. Here, fireman Brad Sparks surveys damage on the roof. The home, owned by Donna May, had its kitchen gutted and smoke and water damage throughout. Fire crews were on the scene just over an hour. Nobody was home when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.
