The council members learned the project dollars are looking good. The inside of the water tank has been painted and the outside painting is progressing.
The council approved a time extension. This extension was requested due to abnormal amounts of rain that the county has received this year.
Also, East Road residents will receive a new water line. This was not in the original water project plans. However, the current water situation does not meet standards. The council approved the installation of a new eight-inch line.
The council received three mobile home requests. All owners are asking for temporary approval to turn on water to the homes until a legal notice is placed in the newspaper. The board approved these requests.
The town of Lyons did receive half of the grant money for Owner Occupied Rehabilitation. The council had to make budget modifications due to the decrease in the amount.
Clerk-treasurer Kim Flynn also reported that disclosure statements from the council members would be necessary if they are related to any of the homeowners on the grant rehab list.
The next council meeting will be at 7 p.m. on June 17 at the Community Building.
