Area high school seniors will graduate May 24

Friday, May 9, 2008

It's an extremely busy time of the year if you're a family with students in high school.

Graduation is just two weeks away, and plans are being made for the ceremonies and parties. Throw in some senior and underclassmen honors programs, and the next couple of weeks can be hectic.

What if you have friends or family at other area schools? Will you be able to attend their ceremonies?

If you're worried about making everything, and need a schedule of what's happening, you're in luck.

Area schools' graduation and honors programs:

* Bloomfield High School -- Graduation is at 4 p.m. on May 24, and the senior/underclassmen honors program is May 16 at 9 a.m.

* Eastern Greene High School -- Graduation is scheduled for May 24 at 11 a.m., and the senior/underclassmen honors program is May 12 at 7 p.m.

* Linton-Stockton High School -- Graduation will be May 24 at 1:30 p.m., and the senior honors program is May 23 at 6:30 p.m. The underclassmen program is May 19 at 2 p.m.

* Shakamak High School -- Graduation is scheduled for May 24 at 2:30 p.m., and the senior honors program is May 23 at 7 p.m. The underclassmen program is May 19 at 2 p.m.

* Union High School -- Graduation is May 24 at 4 p.m. Senior honors program is May 15 at 7 p.m., and the underclassmen honors program will be May 19 at 1 p.m.

* White River Valley High School -- Graduation will be May 24 at 10 a.m., and the senior/underclassmen honors program is at 8:30 a.m. on May 16.

" Hats Off " to all those that will be graduating in a couple of weeks. You all have worked hard and are very deserving of the honors that will be bestowed on you.

" YOU " are the future of this country and us old people are counting on you to not make the same mistakes we did!
