Eastern Greene student recognized by Humane Society

EASTERN GREENE STUDENT HONORED: The Greene County Humane Soceity hosted a a poster contest at local schools for grades 4-6 based on the theme Be Kind to Animals Week. The winner was from Eastern Greene Elementary School -- Savanna Spice. She's pictured with Rene' Abrams of the GCHS.

The Greene County Humane Society hosted a a poster contest at local schools for grades 4-6 based on the theme Be Kind to Animals Week.

The winner was from Eastern Greene Elementary School -- Savanna Spice. The winning poster was duplicated and displayed at the shelter and different retail locations in the county. Be Kind to Animals is sponsored by the American Humane Association & has been celebrated since 1915. The message is for all ages to Practice Kindness, Spread Compassion, and Teach Goodness.

Anyone can nominate a kind kid who does wonderful things to help animals in the "Be Kind to Animals Kid Contest. Log onto www.americanhumane.org/bkaw
