Helena Lenora Meier, 89, of St. Petersburg, FL. and formerly of Lyons, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2008, in St. Petersburg.

She was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Wheatland, the daughter of Theodore & Jemima (LaGard) Catt.

She was a homemaker and a member of Saron United Church of Christ in Linton. She lived most of her life in the Knox-Greene County area.

Survivors include two sons, Robert T. Meier and his wife, Kaye, of Switz City and Jackie Lee Meier and his wife, Connie, of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Ronnie Lee Catt of Indianapolis; two sisters, Annamae Catt and Rosetta Alhart, both of Vincennes, seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry V. Meier; a daughter, Marcella Meier; three brothers and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
