Colts tour to visit Linton on June 24

Wednesday, May 7, 2008
In celebration of the 25th Season of Indianapolis Colts Football and the grand opening of Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indianapolis Colts will kickoff their 2008 Make It Personal Tour in Lafayette on May 19.

The 2008 Make It Personal Tour marks the fifth year in a row the Indianapolis Colts have hosted a summer traveling road show featuring players and cheerleaders.

The tour will make a stop in Linton on June 24 from 4-6 p.m. at Linton's Humphreys Park.

The Make It Personal tour will continue across Indiana through July 18. Make It Personal tour elements include meet and greets with Colts players or alumni Colts players and cheerleaders. Fans may also participate in the "Bleed Blue Blood Drive" by donating at the Indiana Blood Center mobile units, register their kids for the Colts Kids Club, register-to-win Colts pre-season tickets, pick-up free Colts giveaways, and experience the re-designed Colts In Motion traveling museum.

Colts In Motion is the club's 42-foot trailer that acts as a centerpiece in the Colts' regional outreach marketing effort. Colts In Motion is equipped with interactive videos, a quarterback challenge football toss, Lucas Oil Stadium features and a behind-the-scenes look at the entire Indianapolis Colts organization.

ESPN the magazine recently honored the Indianapolis Colts as the No. 1 franchise of the top four pro sports. This ranking is based upon numerous factors including how teams give back to the fans.

"We provide hundreds of free events for our fans every year. The Make It Personal Tour is our way of giving back to our fans and to thank them for their continued support. We want our fans all across the state to be able to touch the Colts franchise in their own backyards," said Tom Zupancic, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts encourage all fans to arrive early. The line for player and cheerleader autographs may be cut off at any time to ensure the Tour remains on schedule. Inclement weather or traffic may cause for late arrival or early departure. All Make It Personal Tour stops will take place rain or shine. Team practice schedules and meeting times may cause for players to arrive late or depart early.

Colts player names will not be announced prior to the arrival in each city. Fans will be allowed one autograph per person, however fans may get back in line for additional autographs.

Other area tour stops:

* May 28 from 4-6 p.m. at the Bedford Junior High football field/parking lot.

* June 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the Rockville Town Square.

* July 2 from 4-6 p.m. at the Owen Valley Community High School.
