Strueh has a campaign Web site

Friday, May 2, 2008

Karen Strueh has a campaign Web site at www.streuhforjudge.com -- she's running in the Democratic primary for Greene Superior Court Judge.

The reason I'm pointing this out is because I wrote the preview stories about the candidates for judge and that was included, but during the editing process the Web address didn't make it into the paper. I want to make that right.

Three of the candidates have campaign Web sites. Those addresses were included in my stories but Strueh's Web site address wasn't included in the paper.

The original story about the two Democrat candidates ran in Wednesday's paper.

To give a little equal time in this Short Take to Strueh's opponent, Jacob Fish, we could add that he also interned at the prosecutor's office and his experience includes learning about the criminal justice system as he was growing up -- his dad was a long-time police officer in Jasonville.

The story about the two Republican candidates, Dave Powell and Dena Benham-Martin, ran in Thursday's paper.

All four of these candidates took extra time to help provide the background on their lives and experiences for these stories and I thank them.

These two primary races for Greene Superior Court Judge will have election watchers on the edge of their seats on Tuesday evening as the votes are being counted. It's an important selection and Greene County is lucky to have four very impressive candidates.

This is not an endorsement of any candidate -- just an effort to be fair.
