In a candlelight ceremony at Shelburn First Baptist Church on Feb. 16, Chasity Ann Mowery and Tony Ryan Spade were united in marriage with Jim Petty officiating.

The bride was given in marriage by both her parents. The podium of the church was covered in mirrors, candles, including silver candelabras and artificial crystal snow that glistened in the candle light. Kenny G was played as the prelude and the couple and wedding party walked out to the song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" a big band and olestra version.

The bride's parents are Bobby S. Mowery and Char Lene C. Mowery, of Jasonville. The groom's parents are Tony and Tonya Spade and Sarah (York) Spade all of Robinson, Ill.

The bride was wearing a diamond white Maggie Soterto Hautecoutre ball gown style dress with a semi cathedral train. The bodice was adorned with beads and crystal embellishments and lacing up the back. The skirt was diamond white satin with a chiffon over lay. Her shoes were white with beading and crystal and a kitten heal. She wore a new diamond and sapphire ring to represent her something new and blue. (With the sapphire representing her late brother's birthstone)

Her husband presented her with a carat princess cut diamond earrings for her a wedding gift. The bride wore her great grandmother's four carat diamond ring along with her great-great grandmother's handkerchief to represent her old and borrowed. Her make up was done by a friend of both the bride and her mother who is the owner and operator of Temple Studio's in Terre Haute, Theresa Rennick. The bride's hair was done by the groom's cousin Ashley Hardiman done my hair from Shear Perfection Salon and Spa., Robinson, Ill.; it was worn pulled up with a tiara and her veil attached in the back under the curls. The bride's bouquet was made of white shimmering tulle and embellished with a lot of crystals and satin ribbons.

Abigil Schaffer, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. The following were the bridesmaids: Lauren Spade, sister of the groom, Jessica Pickett, cousin to the bride, Cortney Fry, cousin to the bride, Jami Houch, friend of the bride and Amanda Mikeworth, friend of the bride. All the ladies dresses were handcrafted by a local seamstress in platinum grey satin with grey chiffon over lay. Each bridesmaid was able to design their own dress, none of which were the same. The matron of honor and bridesmaids' bouquets where made similar to the brides with less crystal and no satin ribbons.

The groom wore a black tux with black shirt and silver vest and tie. The groom's best man was Matt Johnson, friend of the groom. The following were the groomsman: J.B. Holmes, friend of he groom, Calvin Murrary, friend of he groom, Brian York, cousin of the groom, Riley Gullett, friend of the groom, an open space was left in memory of the bride's brother Justin Mowery, who recently passed away prior to the wedding. All the groomsmen wore black tuxes with white shirts and silver vests and ties.

Ushers were Clint Fry, cousin of the bride, and Carter Steffey, friend of the groom.

The couple dismissed each row individually after the ceremony into the foyer of the church where Tom Tribe entertained the visitors with the music from his dulcimer as they mingled.

The couple then had a bubble shower outside the church before coming back in for final pictures as husband and wife; and with the wedding party. Photos were taken by Terry Smith, of Linton and both photos and video were done by Phipps Videos of Jasonville. Upon completion of the photographs the wedding party loaded up in several lifted diesel trucks and headed to the reception.

The reception was at the Sullivan Elks Club where it had been decorated in candlelight, mirrors, winter ice arrangements and antique boopie glasses. The chandlers were turned down to set the candle light mood.

The cake was made by Kim Hux of Dugger, and was a towering three-tier cake that was set upon an acrylic base decorated with satin ribbon and beading. A rhinestone "S" placed a top the cake as the cake topper. The couple had a hors d' oeuvres buffet, a chocolate fountain, homemade mints and punch for their guests to enjoy along with a cash bar.

The wedding party and couple were introduced at the reception by Scott Biddle of Sullivan, who served as the couple's DJ for the evening playing a variety of genres and karaoke.

The couple will honeymoon on a cruise through the Bahamas in July.
