Donald R. Johnson, 61, of Solsberry passed away at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday April 22, 2008 at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.

Born Feb. 24, 1947 in Bloomington, he was the son of Robert L. and Martha (Coons) Johnson.

He was a millwright working for several companies. He was a member of the Solsberry Masonic Lodge No. 411, Bloomfield American Legion Post No. 196, and Local Union No.1080. He attended the Kentucky Ridge Church.

Surviving relatives include: his wife, Cathy Johnson of Solsberry; three sons Donnie and wife Crystal Johnson, Jim Johnson, and Joe Johnson and Fiancee Nikki Philips -- all of Solsberry; five grandchildren, Christopher Johnson, Alisha Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson, Brayden Johnson, and Breanna Johnson -- all of Solsberry; one sister, Connie Harper of Solsberry; his mother, Martha Johnson of Solsberry; one aunt and uncle Don and Joan Bryant of Solsberry.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Raymond New officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
