She was born January 19, 1924, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of Willard and Irene (Gregory) Hart.
She was a homemaker and a substitute school teacher in Greene County Schools. She graduated from Harding College. She was a member of Summerville Church of Christ, northwest of Linton, where her husband served for 40 years as minister.
Survivors include: two sons, Gene Pound of Greenville, TN, and Dr. David Pound (Marylee) of Indianapolis; two sisters, Edith Emily (Gene) of Florence, KY, and Jean Nethery of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, John Paul and Chloe; and 20 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Pound; and a brother, Ernest Hart.
Services will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, with Buford Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Jeffersontown Cemetery in Jeffersontown, KY at 2:30 P.M (EST) Tuesday.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
The family has suggested that memorial donations be made to Woodland Bible Camp through the funeral home.
