Darwin W. Barnes, 94, of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Grandview Convalescent Center.

A veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, he was a machinist, retiring from Peerless Pump in Indianapolis in 1979.

Survivors include one son, Stephen W. Barnes of Bloomfield, and one daughter, Debbie B. Thompson of Martinsville.

A celebration of life service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Neal & Summers Mortuary in Martinsville. Burial will be at Centerton Cemetery.

Friends may one-hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
