Why a survey?

Wednesday, March 26, 2008
Greene County has been selected by Indiana Lt. Governor Becky Skillman's office as one of nine communities in the state to participate in the HomeTown Competitiveness program, which focuses on four areas critical to the growth and prosperity of rural communities.

The HTC committee is gathering community opinion and they need to hear from you. This information will be used in creating activities across Greene County that:

*Encourage our young people and young families to live in Greene County.

*Encourage and support small business start-ups and entrepreneurship.

*Encourage Greene County citizens to become more active in leadership roles.

*Encourage charitable giving to support local activities and family businesses to continue in our communities.

The goal is to have more than 1,000 people who live in Greene County complete the survey by April 4.

The two-part series, which will take about 20 minutes to complete, can be filled out online by placing the following web addresses in your browser.

Part 1

Part 2

For those without computer access:

*Be a friend and create a pen and pencil version by printing the survey and passing it out.

*Request a pen and pencil survey from the Community Learning Center, The Greene County Foundation, Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, Greene County Cooperative Extension Service or Greene County Economic Development Corporation.

Completed pen and pencil surveys may be returned to any of these locations or faxed directly to the Community Learning of Greene County at 659-3861.
