An Easter egg hunt will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday in the Bloomfield Town Park. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. at the northwest shelterhouse.
The Easter Bunny will make an appearance an 12:45 p.m., explained Town Council President Jo Ann Carmichael.
"The aerial truck, as long as it's not in use, will bring the bunny up," she said. "We are stuffing eggs this evening (Thursday) ... three-thousand eggs with candy."
In keeping with tradition, bicycles will be given away to boys and girls in each of the age groups.
"There are four ages groups, walking to 23 months, 2-4 , 5-8 and 9-12 years old," she said. "So we'll have eight bicycles to give away. There's two for each age group."
Geneva's Pizza is providing pizza for the volunteers, she added.
A rain date for the event has been set for March 29 at the same time.
"I'm just glad the town of Bloomfield is able to help the children out," Carmichael added.
The event is being co-sponsored by the town of Bloomfield and the Apple Festival Committee.
