Born Sept. 10, 1915 in Martin County, he was the son of Heazzie and Laura (Busenburg) Headley.
He was a 1933 graduate of Owensburg High School and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the Bloomfield First Baptist Church. He retired from Bloomfield Manufacturing and was a farmer.
Surviving relatives include: two sisters, Doris Johnson of Indianapolis and Thelma Robison of Bloomfield; seven nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Edna F. (Fuller) Headley on October 10, 2007, and his parents.
Services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bloomfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Meyer officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield and from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Bloomfield First Baptist Church.
