Pearl Summerville, 94, of Lyons, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at the Lyons Health & Living Center.

She was born in Greene County on July 2, 1913, the daughter of Perry and Zelle M. (Brown) Jett.

She worked at Sarkes-Tarzan in Bloomington for 20 years. She was a member of the Assembly of Christ Church in Bloomfield.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Bailey, of Mesa, AZ; a son, Jack Summerville and his wife, Mary, of Lyons; a twin sister, Muriel Berlien of Farmersburg; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur Summerville; a daughter, Edith Willis; an infant son; and two brothers, Kenneth and Ray Jett.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Brother Carl Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural Lyons.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
