Helen Marie Chubb Boling, 83, of Sullivan passed away at 2:31 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

Born Feb. 24, 1925 in New Goshen, she was the daughter of Maston Paul Carpenter and Charlotte A. (Langman) Carpenter

She was a homemaker and a member of Southern Baptist Church in Hymera.

Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Roy Terrell of Jasonville, Kathie and Calvin Cox of Sullivan; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Brenda Chubb of Hillsdale; a sister, Delores Edwards of Sullivan; grandchildren, Roy Terrell Jr, Angie Ridgeway, Eric Wade, Jason Wade, Trisha Mahan, Halea Chubb, Rachel Chubb and Ashlea Chubb; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clarence Edward "Red" Chubb in 1961; and second husband, Ray Boling in 1982; brothers-Harry, Bill, Jim and Ralph Carpenter; a sister, Catherine Thompson; and two infant grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Burial will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
