50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE: Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hardisty recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 16.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hardisty recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 16.

Mrs. Hardisty is the former Miss Gloria Brown of Pleasantville. They were married Feb. 16, 1958 at the First Baptist Church in Linton by the Rev. Hubert Crane after a fire destroyed the Pleasantville United Methodist Church one month before their wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Hardisty are the parents of three daughters -- Mrs. Pam (Chip) Sweet of Jasonville, Mrs. Dayna (Rob) Firestone and Mrs. D'Lee (Darren) Sipes of Linton.

They are proud grandparents of nine grandchildren Josh, Abby, Luke and Mariah Sweet, Brandon, Kelsey and Reid Firestone, and Evan and Grant Sipes.
