Bertha Hamlin, 92, of Elkins, ARK and formerly of Bloomfield, passed away on Feb. 10, 2008 at the Fayetteville City Hospital.

She was born May 25, 1915 in Craighead County, ARK, the daughter of Steve and Peary Gray Brinkley.

Survivors include: a son, Carlis White of Elkins; a daughter, Evelyn Vest of Indiana; a brother, Harold Brinkley of Florida; a sister, Gladys Cooper of Jonesboro; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; three step-children, Patricia Sharr of Bloomfield; Gerald Hamilin of Bloomfield; and several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, ARK with Scott Williams officiating.
