Glacie Burch, 90, of Spencer passed away Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008 at Owen Valley Health Campus.

She was born in Pound, Pa., on Feb. 13, 1918 to Thurston and Elizabeth (Sturgill) Mullins.

She was a homemaker but earlier in her life during World War II, she left Virginia and moved to Indianapolis to work at Stewart-Warner Corp. to help the war effort.

She is survived by a son, Vernon (Mary) Burch of Bloomfield and a daughter Mary (Kenneth) Wheeler of Spencer, a sister Goldie Stallard of Myrtle Beach, S.C., four grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marcus Burch who passed away December 1994, a son Sgt. James Burch who passed away May 1967, and four sisters.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. with Pastor Gary Brinson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. on Sunday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Vietnam Veterans of America in care of the funeral home.
