Born Oct. 15, 1922, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of James and Minnie (Gourley) Stevens.
She was retired from RCA and a member of the Little Union Baptist Church;
Survivors include: one daughter and her husband, Janet and Steve Crowe of Bloomfield; three grandchildren and their spouses, David and Robyn Crowe of Glendale, Ariz., Stephanie and Jake Stephenson of Bloomington, and Travis and Pamela Crowe of Solsberry; two great-grandchildren, Megan Crowe of Solsberry and Madison Crowe of Glendale; one sister, Pauline Mullis of Bloomington; and one brother, Walter Stevens of Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Martin, in 1955; five sisters, Bessie Moore, Ethel Hall, Lucille Porter, Roxie Maywhere and Mary Porter; and two brothers, George Stevens and Robert Stevens.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel in Bloomington, with Pastor Wallace Jeffs officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
