Freeda Rose Hayes, 76, of Koleen, passed away at 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born July 16, 1931 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Gabe and Freeda (Reed) Cazzell.

She was a nurse at Bloomfield Nursing Home, Greene County General Hospital and Linton Nursing Home. She was also a member of the Koleen Union Church.

Surviving family members include: Elaine George, Bill George and Jesse George along with companion Lawrence May of Dugger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband\, Arthur "Doc" Hayes on August 19, 1996.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 6, 2008 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Lloyd Swango officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the hour Wednesday at the funeral home.
