Gary J. Birch, 73, of Princeton and formerly of Sullivan, passed away at 2:10 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008 at The Waters in Princeton.

Born n Cass on May 9, 1934, he was the son of James and Dorothy Alumbaugh Birch.

He was a member of the Sullivan Christian Church, Kiwanis Club in Princeton and Jaycees in Sullivan.

Survivors include: his wife of 53 years, Donna Dugan Birch; two sons, Rick Birch and wife, Coleen and Gary Birch and wife, Deborah, both of Princeton; a brother, Thomas Birch of Noblesville; a sister, Betty Woodward of Lubbock, TX; six grandchildren, Whitney, Jared, Reece, Audrey, Olivia, Christian; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Birch.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Dugger Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
