Dorothy J. Eckland-Griffin, 80, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Bloomfield, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Born May 28, 1927, in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Minnie (Bland) Bays.

She was a retired real estate sales agent.

Survivors include one son, Donald Gary Eckland and his wife Jeanie, of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie L. Jeffers of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Dexter Bays; one sister, Mabel L. Thompson; and her parents.

A memorial service in Bloomfield will be announced at a later date.
