Dorothy F. "Dot" Bedwell, 85, of Jasonville, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008 at Meadows Manor East in Terre Haute.

Born Oct. 22, 1922 in Jasonville, she is the daughter of Josiah W "John" McGuire and Nellie Frances (Bruce) McGuire

Her husband, James "Junior" Bedwell, who died July 21, 1993, on Sept.13, 1941 in a double ceremony with her sister, Mary Belle, who married Don Cutts of Sullivan.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Jasonville United Methodist Church and attended Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church when she moved to Terre Haute in 2005.

Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law: Mary Ruth & Tommy Zurcher of Center Point and Debbie and Monte Walls of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Jonna Zurcher, Shane Zurcher and Trent Walls, and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Naomi Ruth Crist and Mary Belle Cutts; brother, Kenneth McGuire; two brothers-in-law, Don Cutts, Charles Crist; and a sister-in-law, Beulah McGuire.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Bob Roush and Shane Zurcher officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery at Midland.
