Virgil Wallace Bryan

Virgil Wallace Bryan, 83, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, at his residence in Globe, Arizona.

He was born in Linton on Aug. 19, 1924, the son of Virgil and Eliza (Dennis) Bryan.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. He worked at Arizona State University of 45 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Tana Bryan Moronez of Queen Creek, AZ; a step-son, William McKinney of Globe, AZ; a brother, Thomas Bryan of Anderson; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by first wife, Dixie Bryan; his second wife, Wilma Jean Bryan; a son, Rick W. Bryan; and a grandson, Michael Moronez.

Graveside service will be held at Hickory Cemetery near Dugger at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 with Reverend Kenneth Adams officiating.

Visitation will be from 1-2:30 p.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
