She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 70, and Shelby County Extension Homemakers Mailbox Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra Bassett and her husband, Mark, of Shelbyville; two sons, Douglas Walton and his wife, Tina, of Flat Rock and Danny Walton and his wife, Lisa, of Shelbyville; one step-son, Gary Walton and his wife, Suette, of Linton; two sisters, Grace Corbin of Linton and Betty Felker and her husband, Tom, of Jasonville; two brothers, Jim Hollingsworth and his wife, Judy, of Linton and Wayne Hollingsworth and his wife, Sarah, of Linton; twelve grandchildren, Mark Bassett, John Bassett, Doug Bassett, Jeremiah Walton, Neva Becker, Sarah Walton, Amber Walton, Christie Andrews, Zachery Walton, Mauri Sasher, Todd Walton, and Kerrie Staumm; 21 great-grandchildren, Madison, Braxton, Braden, McKinley, Jacob, Jeremiah, Brandon, Brittany, Bryant, Kennedy, Jenna, Walker, Hunter, Brooke, Alex, Koye, Marissa, Allie, Aubrey, Grant and Abby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Willis Walton, Nov. 21, 1992, a brother, Hurshel Hollingworth, a sister, Mary Hudson, & her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Rev. Robert Langdon officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Visitation will be at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Son in Shelbyville on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and at noon until the hour of the service on Thursday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel .
