Born July 16, 1914 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Pearl (Secrest) Calvert.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Newark General Baptist Church and attended the Mt. Calvary Church in Bloomfield.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Marlyn Boruff and Velta Abel both of Bloomfield and Cathy Anderson of Solsberry; three sons,Joseph Sharr, Donald Sharr and William Sharr, all of Bloomfield; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Snyder of Indianapolis and Martha Sims of Bloomington; two in-laws, Junior and Marjorie Sharr of Bloomfield and Wilfred and Beulah Sharr of Spencer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Austin M. Sharr on January 21, 1998; one son, Austin Gene Sharr; one daughter, Carole Sue Sharr; one sister, Wilma Pitcher; and two granddaughters.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Forrest Collings and Mary Collings officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
