Mr. and Mrs. Harley Carmichael of R.R. 6, Bloomfield will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Cincinnati Christian Church.

They were married Dec. 21, 1942 in Bloomfield at the home of the Rev. Frank Messersmith, who officiated.

She is the former Edna Hardisty and is a homemaker. She is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary (Solsberry Post) and the C&H Home Ec Club.

He is a retired electrician and a member of the American Legion (Solsberry Post) and the Local 725 IBEW Retirees Club.

Both are members of the Cincinnati Christian Church.

Their children are Cynthia Roberts and her husband Tom of Bloomfield and Bruce Carmichael and his wife Julie of Bloomington. They have five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
