Ronald L. "Ron" Stone, 74, of Worthington, passed away 11:12 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.

He was born Sept. 30, 1933, Linton to Victor and Virginia (Ellis) Stone.

Ron worked at Country Mark, formerly HOCO Service Station for almost 30 years in Worthington. He was a member of Worthington Church of Christ, Lions Club, Odd Fellows Lodge and Masonic Lodge No. 577 F. & A. M.

Survivors include: his wife, Wilma (Gordon) whom he married on Aug. 19, 1960; two daughters, Rhonda (Gary, Jr.) Boone, Shelburn; Rhea (Ted) Weger, Terre Haute; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Williams, Terre Haute; six brothers, Jack Stone, Norman Stone, Steve Stone, all of Terre Haute, Mike Stone, Farmersburg; Donnie Stone, Dugger; Milford Stone, Linton; several nieces and nephews survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jeffery Allen Stone; one grandson, and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, 11 a.m. Friday with his nephew James Stone officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Masonic service will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home.
