He was born Jan. 24, 1930 in Switz City to the late Vern and Fern White. He retired in 1990 after 36 years at Public Service Indiana (PSI) as a dispatcher.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo (Ault) White; sons, Jeffrey S. and Timothy J. White; daughters, Jamie Lea Gilligan and Lu Ann Rickert; brothers, Ronald G. and Nerius E. White; sisters, Joyce S. Summers, Nila Rose Hasler, Mary Ann Wilcoxon and Claudia Dell Grounds; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at noon Monday in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery near Lyons.
