Joseph D. McKinnon, 36, of Newberry, passed away at 6:43 a.m. Tuesday., Nov. 20, 2007, at his residence.

He was born May 28, 1971, in Linton, the son of Jerry D. McKinnon and Cynthia C. (Hansford) McKinnon Mitchell.

Survivors include: his wife, Angel D. (Pickett) McKinnon of Newberry, twin daughters, Samantha Dawn McKinnon and Brittany Dawn McKinnon at home; his father, Jerry D. McKinnon and his wife, Deborah, of Elnora; his mother, Cynthia C. Mitchell and her husband, Arlie, of Jasonville; father & mother-in-law, Jim Pickett of Linton and Barbara Pickett of Newberry; paternal grandmother, Vera McKinnon of Newberry, maternal grandmother, Geraldine Hansford of Jasonville; a brother, Jerry (Jennifer) McKinnon, Jr. of Linton; three half-sisters, Laura McKinnon of Elizabeth City, NC, Robin Rehmel of Jasonville and Sara Rehmel of Bowling Green; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Kimberlee) Pickett of Newberry Billy Joe Pickett of Newberry; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael McKinnon.

A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Rev. Fred Verden officiating.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at a later date.
