Merril G. Myers

Merril G. Myers, 89, of Jasonville, passed away at 12:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2007 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville.

Born Nov. 13, 1918 in Coalmont, she was the son of Harry and Della (Wise) Nelson.

A graduate of Indiana Business College, she formerly worked for Public Service and then was employed at Gamble's in Jasonville. She was a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church.

Survivors include: a daughter, Lynda Grissom of Coalmont; a sister-in-law, Anna Bell Bennett of Jasonville; six grandchildren, Vaughna Stienstra, Jerry Grissom, Jr., Kelly Buell, Darrin Grissom, Sammi Grissom and Dusty Grissom; 16 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Myers; brothers, Kermit Nelson and Vaughn Nelson.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery in Hymera.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
