Edgar Pruett, 91, of Jasonville formerly of Worthington and Bloomfield, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center, in Jasonville.

He was born Sept. 2, 1916 in Greene County to James Edward and Ella (Mullins) Pruett.

He was a retired carpenter and was a member of Bloomfield Pentecostal Church. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the V. F. W.

Survivors include: two sons, Ralph Pruett, San Antonio, Texas; Greg Pruett, Winchester, IN; two daughters, Loretta Hutcherson, Bloomfield; Sharon Osborn, Washington; two brother, Edward Pruett, Worthington; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice E. Pruett, Dec. 23, 2000; one daughter, JoAnn Pruett; three brothers, William, Emery and Vernon Pruett; four sisters, Mary Bowersock, Perlina Critchfield, Zola Carmichael and Flora Atkinson.

Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home, in Worthington, 1 p.m. Tuesday with Bro. Greg Pruett, his son officiating.

Visitation will be after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
