Rodney "Rod" Helderman, 56, of Lafayette passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.

He was born Aug. 4, 1956 n Baberton, OH, the son of Charles "Tom" and Madeline (Cook) Helderman.

He was a 1969 graduate of Worthington-Jefferson High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the submarine U.S.S. George Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannine; a son, Mike; a daughter, Tamara and her husband Jesse Skinner; his mother, Madeline Poole; his brother, Derek; his sister, Karen and her husband, John Hostetter;and many family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.
